Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the resulting stop movement order, the next two months will be very financially challenging for the DOD HHG moving industry. While Daycos is not exempt from this challenge, we are committed to doing everything possible to assist our partners to survive this difficult time.
One thing we have started is providing guidance on how our customers can find additional revenue during the stop movement, even without new shipments being awarded. We are posting all of those suggestions at https://daycos.com/keep-your-revenue-moving. We encourage all customers to follow that page and implement the ideas that will help them find additional revenue.
Most of these methods will identify additional items that can be billed on previously invoiced shipments. Therefore, any items found will need to be billed on supplemental invoices. To help our customers maximize cash flow, Daycos has examined our fee for supplemental invoices. While our costs do not differ much between originals and supplementals, we wanted to do everything in our power to help our customers successfully navigate this challenging time.
Therefore, Daycos will be reducing our DOD HHG billing fee for all supplemental invoices by $5 per invoice during April and May of 2020. The reduction will be applied automatically to all supplementals invoiced in those two months, so our customers do not need to do anything to obtain the discount. In June 2020, our pricing will return to normal levels.
