Advisory Notice: Operation Epic Fury Impacts to International DoD HHG Shipments
The Department of War has issued the following advisories that may impact International Household Goods (HHG), Unaccompanied Baggage (UB), or PPM shipments: Advisory 26-0056A (Stop Movement Update 1), Advisory 26-0058 (Middle East Operational Impacts), and Advisory 26-0056B (Stop Movement Update 2).
Stop Movement (Update 1) – Advisory 26-0056A
Shipments to USCENTCOM countries (including Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and others) may be paused, diverted, or placed into temporary storage (SIT).
Government-covered costs may include:
- Diversion fees
- Demurrage and container detention resulting from routing changes
- Required SIT at origin, in transit, or at destination
Airspace closures, port restrictions, and disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz may cause delays, rerouting, and carrier surcharges.
Government-covered costs may include:
- Emergency Freight Increases / Conflict surcharges
- Additional port or airport fees
- Added routing costs for shipments in the system on or after February 28, 2026
Stop Movement (Update 2) – Advisory 26-0056B
PPSOs will determine required actions on a case-by-case basis for shipments moving OUT of the countries identified in Update 1.
What does this mean for your DoD HHG Billing?
Daycos will bill MISC charges as identified in your supporting documentation. To help ensure charges are billed accurately, please complete the following:
- Add the following registration note for affected shipments: “Impacted by Operation Epic Fury.”
- Include supporting documentation identifying the service performed and the charge to be billed.
- Add the remark “Impacted by Operation Epic Fury” in the Shipment Remarks section in DPS.
